Paolo Cimmino is an internationally recognized Frame drum soloist and a versatile percussion artist He started his career as a member of the San Carlo Theater Orchestra of Naples and has performed as a percussionist with it for more than ten years. During this period, in addition to the passion for classical music, he studied Indian music and jazz.
Currently, Paolo teaches percussion at the Conservatory of Music "G. Martucci "in Salerno and Ethnic music for Frame drums at the MusicAteneo University of Salerno.
He is regularly invited to attend courses in Italy and throughout Europe at prestigious academies including the Royal College of Music, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, the Franz Liszt Hochschule fur Musik in Weimar and others. A passionate educator, Paolo has written a great deal of teaching material on "Tamburello" and his technique, including the acclaimed "A new way of playing tambourine" publisher ( Note di Merito), "5 Solo Tambourines" and La Ritmica per Tamburo Publisher "Santarpino".
